Niche Classification
Automatic or manual categorization of ads by vertical — crypto, trading, gambling, VPN, tech, news, retail, finance, gaming, education, adult, bots, and others. Niches let marketers compare market size and growth across verticals, pick landing categories for their campaigns, and build niche-specific watchlists.
The taxonomy in use
These are the verticals a creative can land in. Counts are live — they come from the same index that powers the niche pages, refreshed every few minutes.

How much is classified
232,821 of 291,518 creatives currently carry a niche — about 80%.
The remainder sits outside the taxonomy on purpose. Some ads are genuinely generic (a channel promoting itself), some belong to verticals too thin to justify a category yet, and some arrived too recently to have been classified. We show those as “other” rather than forcing them into the nearest label.
How the decision is made
- 1The CTA destination is read first — the domain an ad sends people to is the strongest single signal of what is being sold.
- 2The creative text and its entities are matched against per-vertical vocabularies, in the language the ad is actually written in rather than the language of the channel it ran in.
- 3The advertiser’s history is taken into account: a company that has run forty trading ads is unlikely to have just switched to travel.
- 4Classification is re-run as data accumulates, so a niche can appear or change after an ad was first indexed — it is not frozen at ingest time.
What this does not claim
- A niche describes the offer, not the audience. A crypto ad shown in a football channel is still crypto.
- One creative gets one niche. Campaigns that straddle two verticals land in the dominant one.
- A missing niche means “not yet decided”, never “nothing to sell here”.
